Get God's Chosen Killers Off Our Payroll
By Edward W. Miller, M.D.

After three weeks of Israel's genocidal carnage, by land, sea and air, an uneasy truce brought sudden quiet to a devastated Gaza on the eve of Obama's inauguration. That this planned savagery by our parasite Israel was anticipated by Washington's military was evidenced in November, when the US delivered to Israel hundreds of those earth-shaking 1000 lb blockbuster bombs along with phosphorus shells.
"The United Nations report that Israel, not Hamas broke the truce simply got buried under the massive rubble of propaganda... Everyone that US/Israel does not like it labels a "Terrorist Organization." Hamas is the duly elected Government by the Palestinians. US/Israel wanted them to vote for the Abbas Puppet Govt. they had set up." (

Today, as the surviving Gazans are once again able to venture out into the streets they are picking through the rubble of their homes and gathering for burial the fragments and sometime dog-eaten bodies of loved ones. The stench of death and sewage fills the air. According to today's report from a Palestinian columnist in THE GUARDIAN, over 1400 Palestinians have been killed, including 450 children, and over 5400 wounded.

Some 10,000 homes have been destroyed, displacing 150,000 Palestinians into the streets. In those houses temporarily occupied by Israeli troops, everything was smashed, lamps, TV sets, chairs, cabinets emptied on the floor and feces strewn everywhere along with dirty graffiti. In some bodies even five days after death the white phosphorus wounds were still smoking through the dead flesh.

In defiance of the Geneva Convention, the Israelis targeted several well-marked hospitals as well as two UN humanitarian centers, and destroyed the Gazan's university, bombing its library and other buildings.

On January 9, 2009 Inter Press Service Thalif Deen reported: "The devastating Israeli firepower, unleashed largely on Palestinian civilians in Gaza... is the product of advanced U.S. military technology. U.S. weapons systems used by the Israelis -- including F-16 fighter planes, Apache helicopters, tactical missiles and a wide array of munitions -- have been provided by Washington mostly as outright military grants. The administration of President George W. Bush alone has provided over 21 billion dollars in U.S. security assistance over the last eight years, including 19 billion dollars in direct military aid as freebies."

US taxpayers have shelled out more than $3 trillion dollars to Israel over the past half-century. Osama bin Laden has warned us many times that our support of Israel's savagery against the Palestinians has been the chief recruiting agent for al Qaeda, and as a result Americans have suffered the Trade Center bombing in 1993, the bombing of our embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, 19 crewmen killed on the bombed USS Cole and 3,000 deaths in New York City as the Twin Towers collapsed. The billions we spend on Homeland Security are, for the most part, to protect us from al Qaida.

"Israel's intervention in the Gaza Strip has been fueled largely by U.S. supplied weapons paid for with U.S. tax dollars," says the Arms and Security Initiative of the New York-based New America.

Most of the rockets with which Hamas responded to Israel's recent aggression were homemade "Kassam" (or "Quassam",) Most landed in empty fields.

The response of our Congress to Israel's savagery during the last three weeks as over 14,000,000 citizens in the US and capitals around the world, including massive demonstrations in Turkey and Indonesia, where marchers condemned Israel's onslaught, was to pass two bills supporting our parasite's killing. As writer Saed Bannoura noted:

'Despite protests in every major city in the United States, and thousands of phone calls, faxes, letters and emails sent by US citizens to their Senators in Washington, the US Senate voted unanimously on Thursday to support Israel's aggression against the population of the Gaza Strip.

Most US Senators and Congress have taken all-expense-paid trips to Israel, sponsored by the Israeli government and US-based Zionist groups. During these trips, members of Congress report being subjected to tours and propaganda that promote a Zionist version of the history of Israel, with no presentation of the continuous disenfranchisement of the indigenous Palestinian population, another symptom of the deep rooted political and economic integration of key power bases in Washington and Tel Aviv."

Only five senators voted against the recent Pro-Israel-anti Hamas Bill. US Congressman Dennis Kucinich (Democrat of Ohio) recently wrote a letter to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice pointing out that Israel's use of U.S. weapons in Gaza may constitute a violation of the requirements of the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) of 1976.

The AECA outlines the conditions under which countries may use U.S. weapons systems, primarily for "internal security" or "legitimate self defense." The letter says that Israeli forces have used US-supplied F-16 fighter planes and Apache helicopters "to precede and to support ongoing ground actions such as the one in which 40 Palestinians were killed while taking shelter in a U.N. facility."

"Israel is not exempt from international law and must be held accountable," Kucinich added.

The ICJ legislation in the House, passed 361-45 with 13 members, including our local Lynne Woolsey, voting merely "present" as shown by this chart:

As former President Jimmy Carter put it: "It would be almost politically suicidal for members of Congress to espouse a balanced position between Israel and Palestine, to suggest that Israel comply with international law or to speak in defense of justice or human rights for Palestinians."

While AIPAC and our Jewish-controlled media constantly refer to Hamas as well as Hezbollah as "terrorist organizations," Europeans in general who have access to many more newspapers and a freer media have a different view of the Mideast and Washington's subservience to the Zionist lobby. As reported in December 2004:

"Last week in a pole some 7000 Europeans were asked to pick, from a list of 15 countries, those which represented the greatest threats to world peace. Chosen for first place by the vast majority of those interviewed was Israel with the United States a close second."

The massive invasion of Washington's political arena by supporters of Israel, outright Zionist Jews as well as our Christian Right, has produced the very situation which our first president, George Washington, felt so strongly about preventing that he dedicated much of his farewell address to the issue: Every American should read our first President's speech, from which these two paragraphs are copied:

"The passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of a common interest where no common interest exists... It leads also to concessions to the favorite nation, of privileges denied others... unnecessarily parting with what ought to be retained... exciting jealousy, ill will, and a disposition to retaliate in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld.... It gives to ambitious, corrupted or deluded citizens who devote themselves to the favorite nation, facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country, without odium, sometimes even with popularity, gilding with the appearance of a virtuous sense of obligation, the base for foolish compliance's of ambition, corruption or infatuation. How many opportunities they afford to tamper with opinion, to influence or awe the public councils? ...Since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baleful foes of a republican government.... real patriots, who may resist the intrigues of the favorite, are liable to become suspected and odious... The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations, in extending our commercial relations, is to have with them as little political connection as possible." -President George Washington, 1796

George Washington was not the only patriot to warn fellow Americans about the danger of foreign influence in our political arena. Back in 1948 when Benachen Begin first introduced his "Freedom Party" to American Jews, Albert Einstein and other prominent Jews wrote this full-page warning letter in the NY Times:

"Among the most disturbing political phenomena of our time is the emergence in the newly created State of Israel, of the Freedom Party ...a political party closely akin in its organization, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties. It was formed out of the membership and following of the former Irgun Zvai Leumi, a terrorist right-wing chauvinist organization... This is the unmistakable stamp of a Fascist party for whom terrorism (against Jews, Arabs and British alike) and misrepresentation are the means and a "Leader State " is the goal. "

Israel has morphed into the fascist state of which Albert Einstein and other prominent Jews warned their fellow Americans. Now in 2009 she occupies parts of Lebanon, Syria, and the West Bank, and maintains an economic occupation of oil-poor Jordan.

With no designated geographical border, no constitution, and no bill of rights, she hosts a Supreme Court that waltzes in step with her military. Her political behavior at home is apartheid, treating as a second-class Palestinian citizens, Ethiopian Jews and much of her Sephardic Jewish population. Because she has avoided most social and economic requirements demanded of an occupying power by the Geneva Convention (which Israel signed) the UN, Hamas and many NGOs have taken on this burden. (Correspondent in Nablus,)

Israel's terrorism against the occupied people has an economic side as well: Though the harvesting of olives remains one of the few remaining economic supports of the Palestinians. Six incidents were registered, in which a total of 1,000 Palestinian olive trees were cut down. The residents of the village of Salaam discovered 200 of their trees chopped down. The village has lost well over 900 trees since May 2005. (New Trend 28 December 2005).

Americans on inauguration Day were optimistic that Obama would, amongst his many other emergencies, alter the US policy in the Mideast, treat the Palestinians fairly and bring peace to that troubled region.

As we enter the New Year with an untried black president, Americans are waging two unwinnable wars, neither of which we can afford, and suffering an economic crash down, possibly worse than that of the 1930's. It is imperative that we take an honest look at Washington and see what we can do to bring a functioning democracy back to life.

Let's start with Obama's appointment of Rahn Emmanuel as Chief of Staff, which I consider a political error. Rahn, the son of one of Israel's infamous terrorist groups, the Irgun, Rahn not only holds dual citizenship with Israel, but during the Gulf War served with the Israeli Defense Force. Emmanuel was also a staunch supporter of Bush's Iraq war. His position on the Middle East is unrelentingly pro-Israel. As Chief of Staff, Emmanuel will determine who has access to Obama in a day-to-day basis. No one seen as unfriendly by Israel is likely to sit down in the Oval Office with our new President, thus Obama's Mideast peace promises are already in jeopardy. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
