The 2005-2006 Training Program begins in September 13th, and students meet every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through February 7, 2005. Tuition is $300, and includes one-year membership in the Environmental Forum of Marin. Class size is limited to 35 students. West Marin residents are eligible for the EAC scholarship.
Subjects include environmental philosophy, geology and soils, solid waste, oceans, bays and estuaries, population and sustainability, environmental economics, energy, toxics, agriculture, land use, transportation, open space, wildlife, plants, water and watersheds. Many class sessions are field trips to various areas of Marin County to view the environment under discussion.
