The Rest Of The World Says "Anyone but George!"

It seems it is extremely fortunate for President Bush that he is not running for office in any other country than the US

While polls in America still give the President a strong chance of retaining his presidency, an election on the internet where the 'rest of the world' can vote for the US President, is putting his support at just over 4%.

Amongst countries from the 'coalition of the willing', support is even lower, struggling to hit 3%.

With nearly eight thousand votes being recorded from 91 countries, Independent Ralph Nader is currently leading John Kerry.

"Our election is really an attempt to show Americans what the rest of the world already knows, that President Bush's 'work for freedom' is not appreciated by the rest of the world", says Sunirmalya Symons from the World Peace Society of Australia-the hosts of the virtual election.

"We believe that the American people are not so isolated from the world that they do not respect the opinions of their brother and sister nations." Sunirmalya believes that given the powerful global opposition to President Bush it is time the American people heard those views.

"Very little of this information is getting through the American media. We would like to challenge CNN or FOX or any of the mainstream media to conduct their own polling and allow the American people to hear this message from them." He believes that with only one super-power in the world, the choice of President, has an extremely powerful effect on every person in the world.
