Parental Loss for Adults Group

Hospice of Marin offers a parental loss for adults support group. The six-week group for adults grieving the loss of a parent will be held on Wednesdays, beginning Nov. 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hospice offices at 150 Nellen Ave. in Corte Madera. Space is limited and reservations are required. Call 415-927-2273 for additional information. There is no cost, but donations are accepted.

Breaking the Cycle of Violence

Dorothy Granada, an internationally acclaimed health promoter and human rights activist will appear in San Rafael on Friday, Nov. 9, 7:30 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 1510 Fifth Avenue. The event sponsored by Marin Interfaith Task Force is a benefit for the women's health clinic that she directs in rural Nicaragua. Her message of nonviolence brings hope in these times of national tragedy and war. A report on the Nicaragua elections, Fair Trade Coffee & refreshments. Wheelchair access.
