Anthrax Under The Rug
Although the government wants to sweep the anthrax investigation under the rug and call it solved I'm not believing it. It was clear at the time as it still is now that the purpose of the anthrax attack was for the purpose of passing the so-called "Patriot Act". The targets of the attacks were key Democrats in the Senate and people in the news media. I believe the CIA and the Bush administration manufactured the anthrax attack as a way to scare lawmakers into undermining our American freedoms transforming America into the police state it is today.

Thank you for printing Israel Shamirs writings. Discovering Israel Shamirs' essays in 02 for me was like a singular revelation. A moment in time when everything began to make sense and it was ok to be who I am because there is an Israel Shamir. Shamir is a prophetic writer of gospel quality who with pen can take you before a vast unbefore seen landscape that awaits your discovery, like being taken on a forbidden journey through history on a magic carpet ride. Shamir is like a breath of clean fresh air after a stink. Mr. Vile, by the way who cares if he's written in the past as a Russian, a Jew or a Christian Israeli, he is and has been all of these things so what.
Israel Shamir converted to Christ about eight years ago Easter, this is probably the hidden flame that fuels your viciousness Mr. V., his grandfather was a rabbi. In Shamirs' words" The very essence of the gospel is the rejection of revenge. That was the difference between the Church and the Synagogue, the two sisters born two thousand years ago. This built- in difference is the inherent feature of the schism between the two faiths: while Christians are called to pray for their enemies, Jews are supposed to dream of vengeance".
Mordechai "Vanunu the preeminent hero of the nuclear age," himself an Israeli Jew and an ex worker at the Israeli nuclear plant, who now lives under the protection of the Christian Church in Jerusalem/ Al Qud and is banned from leaving Israel, spent 17 years or so in solitary confinement in Israel for revealing Israel's secret: that Israel had in fact acquired nuclear bombs already. Vanunu converted to Christ as well, in jail. His parents disowned him. Humm, let me see, the most likely reason the people of the west didn't already know Israel had the bomb and who the hell is Vanunu? The hidden Talmudic hand upon the American and European 'free' press, not to mention the massive net-work of 'progressive' people like Laura Lovitt who really think nothing of someone picking up a stack of the CC and doing dog knows what with it because she doesn't like it, to tearing down a flyer announcing an event for Palestine.
So the word is out 'progressive' people like Laura Lovitt Pandapas and her KPFA listening husband thinks its a 'good thing' to stifle debate about Palestine unless it is in good taste, and, is willing to support /commit undemocratic illegal acts as a way to achieve her ends ...to stop people from learning about these crucial issues. Humm where have I seen/heard this type of behavior before.
This is the sad state of the world that one small privileged Elite group, within a group I might add, can, did, and does have control of what the rest of the world knows as history as geography.... consider the implications for our schools, books and magazines and the death of evenhandedness.
As the one and only person to be ever so gloriously banned (while in Bethlehem 04 no less) from writing letters to the 50 something Point Reyes Light paper, concerning my pressing Pro-Palestinian stance, I must say it brings me great pleasure to hang on the fringes of these three men and also to see the too long hidden, but central debate of the century continue on in full throttle in the Costal Post, concerning the ongoing brutal treatment of the Palestinian people by the illegitimate colonial Jewish State, Israel.
Thank you Don Deane for being a man and a white man at that in these white man hating times sufficiently brave enough to hold down the hidden Talmudic fist and bring the Coastal Post 'out of the closet' and out of the fog concerning the true plight of the Palestinian people under occupation by the Jewish state. How fortunate and glorious you are in your shining singularity, such as in being the only friggin editor and paper in these Talmudic occupied United States brave and manly enough to print the Walt/ Mersheimer paper exposing the American Israeli Lobby and its stifling control of Americas Foreign Policy, [among other policy, too long a list for this letter].
My indeed what does that say about you and the CP, Laura Lovitt. She wants to thwart the only paper in the friggin country willing to tell the 'other' side of this teey weenie little 'issue' the one you Laura decidedly had the privilege to freely pick up and read about as you describe in your letter of 8-1-08 but wish to withhold the same right from others. Shame on you. Long live freedom of speech and the CP and here is my donation.

Criminals In The Name Of Ideology
The Point Reyes Light in the last 2 weeks papers, stated that the Deer Eradication Program
received a boost...that..."others support the park's steadfastness" in the eradication program and then name the "Wildlife Society" as being that new supporter of the Park. They stated "The Wildlife Society, an international nonprofit association dedicated to wildlife "stewardship" sent a letter in support of the parks' plan.... on and on.
I seriously urge all reporters to carry your stories one step further into intelligent and responsive investigation.
Anthony Denicola the man whose nonprofit firm White Buffalo has a Park contract for a near million dollars...is a MAJOR ASSOCIATE OF THE "nonprofit" "WILDLIFE SOCIETY" Denicola resume used to be posted on his website and has listed his many associations with this "Society".... 1999-present "Certified Wildlife Biologist", the "Wildlife Society", Paper Award, "The Wildlife Society", Society Affiliations, "The Wildlife Society", Oral Presentations, Manuscripts, guess who? "The Wildlife Society" and now again we have the Park and it's hired scientists and their families and teachers all writing in on quick defense of the innocence of these people who are running our park.... just like Dick Cheney being innocent relative to his war in Iraq.
Lying is being covered up and Lying continues and is deep. Sounds like good training from the Bush administration. The Oh So Absolute of the Park and it's hired supporters and affiliates makes many of us wonder if church and state have merged finally.

A moment of silence, please, for the nearly 3000 souls who fell silent on that horrific day... Thank You.
It is hard for many of us to look back upon it. But soon it will be the 7th anniversary of the attacks that took so many innocent lives in the air and on the ground of America-land of the free and home of the brave.
The years since 9/11/01 have been filled with torment, winds of the sorts that have not been felt in this country for thirty years or so. We can reflect on years of war now; kids who were in 8th grade in 2001 are now in their third year of college. We have been in Afghanistan for seven years, Iraq for five. We have lost nearly 4,500 American brothers and sisters in the "War on Terror." Nearly 3000 were killed on 9/11/01 and the tragedy continues for the numerous workers and volunteers who cleaned up Ground Zero as many of them have contracted terminal cancer. Already there have been over 500 officially recognized 9/11/01 related deaths.
Might you remember the story of the 11th? If so, which one? The commission report is one story. The FBI portrays a slightly different one and the FAA has one quite different. Even the stories from the CIA, press and numerous other "official" accounts, differ-sometimes slightly, sometimes drastically.
Inconsistencies abound. The Commission Report doesn't mention that the Head of the I.S.I in Pakistan, our ally in the war on terror, wired $100,000 to Mohammed Atta on September 10, 2001. The commission notoriously didn't mention the unprecedented total failure and collapse of WTC7. The Commission briefly mentioned the highly unusual stock trades that suggest insider trading and foreknowledge of the events, such as bets that American and United stocks would fall. United Airlines experienced a trading volume of "put options" more than 25 times its normal volume on September the 6, 2001 and those earnings are still unclaimed.
The fact that the FBI most wanted page for Bin Laden doesn't have him listed for the crimes of 9/11/01 is just plain weird. In 2006, author Ed Haas contacted the FBI and asked why. The Chief of Investigative Publicity for the FBI, Rex Tomb, stated "The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Osama bin Laden's Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11."
NIST, The National Institute of Standards and Technology, has been formally charged with explaining why and how three buildings, WTC One, Two, and Seven, collapsed on 9/11. In 2006 NIST released its 10,000 page final report. It failed to mention exactly how the buildings fell completely and utterly, into a small pile of debris and lots of dust, which would later kill countless others. The report was only for Towers One and Two. The Report for Tower Seven is, as of this day, unreleased and unexplained.
These are just some of the lingering questions that remain. It was questions in the first place that created the 9/11 Commission. The "Jersey Widows," Laurie van Aukin and others, pressured the Government to form The Commission. Initially Henry Kissinger was going to chair it but after conflict of interest accusations he stepped down. Phillip Zelikow, younger and less prominent, was the next appointed chairman, but just as many conflicts of interests existed according to the widows. The commission convened for its first time 441 days, over a year and three months, after the events of 9/11.
The Commission utterly failed to answer 70% of the questions that the widows had formed for them, leaving the widows with more questions than answers. This is the unofficial beginnings of what is now recognized as the 9/11 Truth Movement. The 9/11 Truth movement is a fast growing body of people researching and working daily to learn more about what really happened on September 11th.
It matters more now than ever before that justice is seen for 9/11/01; if not for the widows and others who lost loved ones, then for the 8,000 Americans who have died since. This November tell your candidate you want truth, and change shall follow naturally.

Iran Refuses To Comply With International Community
Hello, I am a concerned Jewish-American who is trying to bring a very urgent situation to the attention of the American public.
Today Iran is refusing to comply with the International Community regarding its nuclear program.
Now Iran funds, trains and arms terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah. Hamas has fired over 8,000 rockets onto Israeli civilians, since 2005. All of this AFTER Israel gave up Gaza in the hopes of "peace".
Iran violates the Human rights of it's own citizens and recently has hung 29 of it's citizens. I myself have watched a horrible video of women in Iran as recently as 1998 being buried in the ground from the waist up ... and stoned to death in a slow and tortuous way, it takes sometimes more than an hour for a woman killed in this manner to die... and all of this with no trial at all. Many times it is done because an angry spouse wishes to dispose of a wife who has become a "problem" to him. This way he can keep the children and marry again. But that is a whole other letter.
President Achmadinejad has called for Israel to be wiped off of the map, and he openly denies that the holocaust ever happened.
Iran continues an underground illegal nuclear program in defiance of the international community, the U.N. and the IAEC. This in spite of a generous offer of compromise from the international community.
Iran has been conducting tests with missile systems to see how far they can reach with a nuclear weapon, so it seems to me they intend to use this weapon as soon as they are able to. Not only is the security and future of Israel in danger, the security of Europe, and the United States of America is also in jeopardy. We need to send a strong message to Iran and soon that the entire world will not sit idly by and let them conduct themselves in this fashion without severe consequences.
As the world looks forward to the future, the time for a peaceful resolution to this situation with Iran is running out. We need to focus on preserving peace and world stability, by putting nuclear Iran out of business for good. Please don't think that we can ignore this situation, look at what happened with the Nazi's during WWII when good people sat idly by and did nothing until it was too late! Please, think of the future of our children, do we want them living with the fear of WWIII right around the corner?

Lawbreakers On Public Boards
Several school boards reported as taking positions for or against certain statewide propositions warned on the Nov. 4 ballot, and other public institutions that may do so, are warned that they would be breaking the law.
In Stanson v. Mott (June 76, 17 Calif. 3rd 206), the California Supreme Court ruled: šA public agency may not expend public funds to promote a partisan position in an election campaign.š
Clarifying its ruling, the Court added: šA fundamental precept of this nation's democratic electoral process is that the government may not štake sidesš in election contests or bestow an unfair advantage on one of several competing factions.š
The ruling means that use of public facilities for the meeting, and all costs for use of public employees, equipment, computers, stationery, publications or other items used in considering, taking, and reporting such positions are prohibited.
The only exception, decided in another case, is that school districts may take positions on purely school district measures (e.g., bond issues).
All public institutions must adhere to the Stanson v. Mott ruling.

No Recourse Except To Howl At The Moon
What I don't like about the eight years of the Bush Administration is that he has dragged the rest of America with him in his war with Iraq as if we all agreed to the undertaking.
During his reign all we have heard is that the terrorists are coming, kill them over there before they kill us over here, war, war, war; war with Iraq, war with Afghanistan, and look out Iran President Bush has his eyes on you too.
The war has wrecked Iraq so badly that the American taxpayers are spending billions of dollars rebuilding it while Iraq has had a $79 billion oil surplus this year and has deposited it in American banks instead of reconstructing their own cities.
A dozen books have been written to date about the lies and deception that led us into a brutal, violent war in Iraq and there is nothing that we can seem to do about changing it. Congress won't investigate and the Senate seems helpless? So Bush goes around smiling like a cat that has just ate a canary.
It makes one feel used and violated and you feel like you've been dragged in reluctantly against your will as a coconspirator to an illegal war and there is no way out except to howl at the moon until a new regime takes over the White House in January.

On Local Courage Can Move Nation
Craig Slater's piece was most interesting. A few observations on his disappointing, even appalling, diatribe about the Mill Valley City Council:
1. Is Mr. Slater that his opinion on the matter of the Iraq war represents a true majority of the citizens of Mill Valley? Frustrated people who have no power and know they are on the wrong side of an issue often attempt to cajole those in power to agree with them and to act on their dubious beliefs.
2. Reading Slater's argument in favor of the Council sending a message to Washington about the Iraq war, the position of his organization with the glorious name The Marin Peace & Justice Coalition boils down to this: Mill Valley needs more money. That is a disappointing argument that serves to denigrate the City Council, who have, very much like Slater himself, no clue about the importance of foreign affairs to the United States, or the seriousness of purpose that is required to act with responsibility in defense of the interests of this country on the world stage.
Using Slater's arguments in 1944, the invasion of Normandy would not have happened and the Germans would have been permitted to maintain their occupation of Europe and we would have turned tail and run home after Tarawa in the Pacific.
There are reasons why the Marin Peace & Justice Coalition does not have a branch in Tehran or Pyongyang or Damascus or Riyadh or the Northwest Frontier of Pakistan. These naive, frustrated, juvenile harangues about the United States and our government leaders have gotten quite tiresome. Slater presents arguments of negativity, arrogance and presumptiveness.
My advice to the Mill Valley Council Members is to not get confused by Slater's message of weakness and the implied foolish notion that, if not for Iraq, the median price of a house in Mill Valley might be $1.5 million by now.

Self-serving Conservators
This story is not only heartbreaking for the daughter. Donna Richardson Robbins, it is illegal! This only shows little concern for the corruption and crimes taking place daily in our Probate Courts.
I commend Terri Alvillar for her hard work in research and her, along with the Coastal Post, in their attempts to bring much deserved attention and justice to the victims of this subject.
What is it going to take for someone, somewhere to stop the abuse being perpetuated by these greedy, self-dealing conservators and their equally corrupt cohorts called attorneys?
I notice the name Schmierer and Boyden being attached to cases that seem to be filled with questionable property transfers, broken laws, and even deaths of innocent victims. Who are these people with the power to ignore court orders with no consequence? I can only hope the IRS is paying attention to the activities of these players to include the sale of timber and property and they will follow the money!
Accountability needs to be directed at the probate judges, attorneys and conservators/trustees ignoring laws and rules of the courts. If these criminals were prosecuted, they would not be so fast to prey on victims like Ms. Robbins and the many others that have been blatantly raped by this corrupt system.

Stolen Election On The Horizon
Evidence supporting the right wing's theft of the 2004 election is even more convincing than for the 2000 election. For example: in 2004 there was no Ralph Nader factor; almost none who voted against Bush in 2000 voted for him in 2004 while many who had voted for him in 2000 voted against him in 2004; and discrepancies between the exit polls and the recorded vote counts were unprecedented.
All indicators show that these same mechanisms for election fraud are still in place. Paper ballot backup must be mandatory. When fraudulent measures, such as phoning late election dates, falsely based voter disqualification notices, etc, are found, the affected precincts should be recounted and reevaluated despite the delays and costs, and those involved should be charged with voter fraud. And prosecuted. Legislation must be enacted to prevent the Supreme Court from overturning state's right to review an obviously flawed election as they had in 2000.
Unless we detooth this machine now, we can look forward to four more years of reminiscing a third stolen election; and an administration that will not alter the disastrous policies of the last eight years.

There It Was, Tucked In The Middle Of Your Paper
Took a vacation out in beautiful Point Reyes and, desperate for something to read, stumbled upon your publication. To my surprise, there it was, tucked away halfway through the paper, a piece of what I would call garden variety anti-Semitism. Not particularly imaginative or creative at all; in fact, it was totally uninspired and mundane, I'm sure your writer could have done a better job with a little more effort. I mean statements like "all Jews are rich" would upset Warren Buffet no end not to mention Bill gates. And I particularly liked the use of the 19th century word "cabal". That quintessentially un-American word fits in more with the Byzantine, Eastern European/Russian world from which the author wisely escaped. As for the dreaded AIPAC, (whose methods I oppose) ask the NRA or defense contractors who really knows how to lobby congress. To conclude, since I believe that nobody is perfect, I would suggest to the writer that he:
1) Grows up
2) Gets a real job (not as a writer)
3) Gets a life

War Based Fuels
There is a lot of talk about energy these days. There are green fuels, carbon based fuels, and a new concept I'd like to introduce, the war based fuel. A war-based fuel is an energy source that involves war to get it or has a side effect of creating weapons used in war. Oil is a war based fuel because it causes countries to go to war to get it. Nuclear is also a war-based fuel because the fuel can be diverted to be used in nuclear weapons. Just having nuclear makes you a threat.
So when we discuss what fuel we should put our efforts into, lets not drill here now. Let us get away from war-based fuels and move to renewable resources. Oil and nuclear are too expensive especially when you add in the costs of the wars required to maintain them. If we focus on solar, wind, and other green fuels then we can start to wean ourselves off of oil and not have to go to war over a resource that we are running out of, or something that's going to overheat the planet.

Wasted Opportunities
On August 1, carefully avoiding sidewalk goose dung, I circumnavigated the Civic Center lagoon to conduct a Canada geese census, finding:
„ South of the lagoon...45 geese
„ East of lagoon 52
„ North of lagoon 50
„ On the island...est. 110
„ TOTAL 257
This potentially exploitable asset for Marin County is currently wasted.
I urge immediate formation of the MCGRP (Marin County Guano Recovery Project), with beneficial twin goals of providing fertilizer to farmers and minimizing sidewalk deposits that endanger children's health. A licensed consultant could provide guano quantitative data to assess value.
An attractive alternative, using the herd of creatures now on the, shall we say, hoof, around the waterhole, could provide great benefit for charitable eating establishments or food banks- altogether well over 250 livers and 500 thighs, 500 huge breasts and 500 drumsticks, as well as a significant quantity of potential soup bones.
County leaders should act swiftly lest wily entrepreneurs slip in first and claim this natural resource.
