Voters Encouraged to Report Election Problems
Marin County voters who had problems during the June 3 election are invited to report their experience via email to an ad hoc group of volunteers through the Marin County Clerk's office. The volunteers will forward the emails to Marin County's Registrar of Voters to help improve the voting process in the future.
"We are doing this as a service to the community, to help voters communicate any problems they experienced so the county elections office can take steps to address them," said Novato resident Linda Bagneschi Dorrance, a citizen-activist who has spent three years working toward improved election integrity in Marin County. "Election integrity is a nonpartisan issue supported by all voters who want their votes to count."
Bagneschi Dorrance is a member of the Marin Registrar of Voters' Election Advisory Committee and California Election Protection Network, but emphasized this is an independent effort to identify voter concerns in Marin.
Citizens interested in staying informed about local election integrity issues or volunteering for the cause can indicate their interest by emailing the Marin County Clerk. Note this email address is staffed by volunteers. While each email will be read, resources might be insufficient to personally respond to each individual.
