Inverness Garden Club Scholarships
The Inverness Garden Club Scholarship Fund (IGCSF) is currently accepting applications from coastal West Marin students for college scholarships for the 2008-2009 academic year. Application forms for new and continuing students are available online from the Inverness Garden Club's website, www.invernessgardens.org/scholarship, by sending an email request to scholars@invernessgardens.org, or by sending a written request to the IGC Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 724, Inverness, CA 94937.
This year the Scholarship Fund Committee is pleased to announce that it has added a new scholarship, an Horticultural Scholarship of $5000 which is offered to college students, preferably a junior or senior, who is majoring in horticulture or a related field of study. For more specific information or questions, visit the IGCSF website. The deadline for receipt of all applications is March 31, 2008.
We are extremely grateful for the wonderful support we have received from the community in response to our annual Appeals Letter this year. It is both exciting and rewarding to be able to help deserving students in our communities realize their dreams of a college education. Follow-up data on past Scholarship Fund scholars who have graduated from college indicates that many return to the Bay Area and make valuable contributions to their communities as active and informed citizens. Thank you for partnering with the Scholarship Fund to make this possible - we eagerly look forward to the receipt of this years' Scholarship applications! Martha D Proctor, Chair.
