Clam Green Home Tour
Green Home Tour, Building Sustainable Communities Sunday, August 26, 2007, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Starts at the Dance Palace in Point Reyes Station.
A rare chance to tour four Point Reyes Station and Inverness homes built with green practices and materials. We will see examples of passive solar construction, solar electricity, the affordable use of green and recycled materials, green second units, a permaculture garden and a food forest.
Schedule:
10:30 - 11 a.m. Check-in at Dance Palace, 503 B Street, Pont Reyes Station. See Green Building Display.
11:00 am - 12 p.m. Remarks by Supervisor Steve Kinsey on Greening of Marin. Green Building presentation and Tour Orientation by Jim Campe, architect and green building specialist. Lunch provided.
12:00 pm - 4 pm Guided tour starts from Dance Palace promptly at 12 noon. Tour ends at 4 pm with Straus ice cream.
Proceeds support work of Community Land Trust Association of West Marin (CLAM) creating affordable, green housing in the communities surrounding Tomales Bay.
