Community Calendar: Arts and Events

Tennessee Valley Orchestra presents its spring concert series with the theme of American Music: The Known and The New. The program includes CoplandŐs Appalachian Spring and a world premiere Marimba Concerto by San Francisco composer Alexis Alrich, and featuring local percussionist Matt Cannon on marimba. Tennessee Valley Orchestra is an exceptional community orchestra of fifty amateur musicians, and is pleased to present a performance in a new venue, Unity Center in Hamilton Center, Novato, as well as its fourth annual Family Concert/Ice Cream Social, sponsored by Tamalpais Community Services District, in Mill Valley. Children are welcome at all concerts; Family Concert is free.
