Friends and associates of Coastal Post writer Jim Scanlon will gather on June 15, 5 p.m. at the Juvenile Service Center on Lucas Valley Road north of Marinwood. The much beloved writer, retired probation officer and citizen scientist died on April 14 in San Rafael while returning home from a Yoga Class. He had experienced respiratory discomfort durning the class and left early to rest.
The Marin County CoronorÕs office concluded that the contributing causes of death were severe coronary artheroscleosis and severe peripheal vascular disease.
