Reward Offered For Bolinas M-80 Victim
On
Sunday, 09-06-04, James Brogan of Bolinas was seriously injured by an M-80 or
similar explosive device. This occurred while Mr. Brogan was sitting on the
beach beneath the seawall west of the entrance to Brighton Beach. After he was injured, Mr. Brogan confronted a group of young people standing on the
seawall above him. They seemed surprised at his being there. Due to the nature
of his injuries, Mr. Brogan was unable to discuss the incident with this group.
Instead he went to seek immediate medical assistance.
If the incident was accidental in nature, it can be handled as such. Mr.
Brogan has expressed that he does not wish to see anyone prosecuted if it was
in fact accidental. It is imperative that anyone with information regarding
this comes forward and contacts the Marin County Sheriff's Department via the
WETIP anonymous tip line at (415) 472-CRIME, or by contacting Detective Marco
Innocenti at (415) 499-7281.
A $1,000.00 reward has been established by Crimestoppers of Marin for
information leading to the successful closure of this case.
