Faye D'Opal For Judge
The
Coastal Post believes Faye D'Opal deserves to be elected to the Marin Superior
Court. She lives in Marin and raised a family here. She practiced law in the
county for 18 years. We think her most important asset is her feet-on-the-ground,
hands-on experience at the Legal Self Help Center of Marin, Marin Abused
Women's Services (MAWS) and her work on the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency
Commission.
She received the Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award from the Human Rights
Commission, Lawyer of the Year and numerous other awards.
There is so much negativity out there now, we don't like to contribute more
to it, but we think it is important that she is not a public prosecutor and not
another Republican. We need variety on the bench and Faye would provide the
breath of fresh air our Court so desperately needs.
NOW supports Faye, so does Barbara Boxer, Lynn Woolsey, Isabel Allende and a
large number of local organizations, public officials, judges, past presidents
of the Marin Bar Association, Community Leaders and ordinary people.
