Attend The Ed Miller Celebration
This is just a
reminder to your readers in case they didn't see the invite on the last page of
last months C. P. paper to come with me Kate Hart and Celebrate the Long Life
of Dr. Miller on Saturday, October 2, 6 p.m., at the San Geronimo Community
Center for his courageous work in exposing the occupation of Palestine to the
uninformed and censored public.
The event, Dinner- Wine- and silent auction is also a fund raiser for The
Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA).
Barbara Lubin from MECA is our Key-note speaker, Don Deane is our
Toastmaster.
It is important to recognize that Israel must be treated as South Africa
was: sanctions and Boycott for the apartheid conditions that oppress
Palestinians etc.
The Presbyterian Church is the first Protestant Christian church to take a
position in publicly criticizing Israel calling for sanctions and divestment.
This is a great milestone and I salute the efforts of the Presbyterian
clergy and call for all people to unite with the Church against the powers that
would be.
