Candidates Invited To Seek Endorsement By NOW

The Marin Chapter of the National Organization
for Women (NOW) Political Action Committee invites all candidates in Marin's
November election to seek the NOW PAC's endorsement.
Marin NOW PAC will be opening their endorsement process on
August 10th and will hold a Candidate's Forum and Endorsement Night on
September 29th, 2004.
The event will be held at the San Rafael Council Chambers on 5th Street and begin at 7 p.m.
All Candidates in the following contested races within Marin
County will be invited to seek the NOW PAC endorsement: Supervisor run off -
District 2; Marin County Judge run off - Open Seat; MGH Board and MMWD Board
seats. All members of the general public are invited to attend the candidates
forum. All current NOW members who are Marin residents are invited to
participate in voting on which candidates to endorse. To be an eligible voting
member of Marin NOW, current membership is required: new or renewing members
checks MUST BE IN our Post Office Box by August 29th.
It is important to elect candidates who support women's rights,
feminist values, and NOW's positions on important issues.
The public is welcome at the Candidate's Forum - the NOW
membership will hold a private endorsement meeting after the event.
Candidates who are interested in seeking the NOW PAC endorsement
should be supportive of NOW issues.
