The Inverness Garden Scholarship Fund has recently awarded a total of $60,000 in scholarships to thirty deserving West Marin students for the 2004-2005 academic year. Fifteen scholarships were awarded to students graduating from high school this spring and they include: Tomales High: James Gilardi, Ashley Griffin, Alison Janes, Anne Kehoe (Rodoni Scholar), Emily Mazzucchi (Moore Scholar), Simone Oppen (Kroninger Scholar), William Volpert (Arndt/Strauss/Holbrooke Scholar), and Ashley Williams. Drake High: Daley Cort (Spenger Scholar) and Alexandra Dallara; San Domenico High: Julia Rogers and Veronique Racine Branson: Janna Roberts (Marvin Scholar); Marin Catholic: Margarita Sanchez-Corea School of the Arts: Ariel Clute.
As well, scholarships were awarded to eleven of our continuing scholars and to four first-time applicants already in college. They are: Henry Bustamante, Anthony Crivelli (Lucasfilm. Inc. Scholar), Katie Gilardi (Margolis Scholar), Claudia Gonzales (Rothwell Scholar), Anna Jolley (Speh Scholar), Molly Livingston, Heather Martinelli, Chris Rea (Quesada Scholar), Emily Rea (Kroninger Scholar), Jon Venezia (Baxter Schholar), Robin Wolthausen, Anna Bettini, Kyle Lebell, Allesondra Springman, and Angela Whitney.
Funds for the scholarships come from various local fundraisers such as last fall's "West Marin Vogue" Fashion Show, an annual Appeals Letter, interest from the Robin A.
